The History of Oak Hill Church of Christ


1906 - 1920's: The Church met in members homes during this period  
1920's - 1948: The congregation became known as the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ

1948 - 1959: The Church met as Fifth Avenue Church of Christ at 400 North Fifth Avenue.

1959 - 1991: The Central Church of Christ meeting at Avenue A

1986:The West Rome Church of Christ began to assemble for worship with the Central Church of after the sale of the West Rome building.  The West Rome building was torn down to make way for a new Kroger on Shorter Avenue.


 
1991: The two congregations formally merged to form the Oak Hill Church of Christ.
