Meet The Minister Joey l. Haynes Thanks for taking the time to visit our website. We hope that the content of this site will encourage you to pay us a visit at Oak Hill. I encourage you to explore the website and check out the things that we are currently doing for God here at Oak Hill. We are a warm and loving family of God's people who are dedicated to helping others become CONNECTED to God in a greater way. I am blessed to be a part of such a wonderful congregation of God's people. I began my work with Oak Hill on June 1, 1999. I am originally from Munford, Alabama. I graduated from Munford High school in May of 1992. I began serving in ministry in June of 1995. In 1997, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Jacksonville State University. Upon graduation, I entered ministry on a full-time basis. I served as a Youth Minister/Associate Minister from 1995-2004 (including 5 years in that position at Oak Hill). In June of 2004, I became the Senior Minister here at Oak Hill. Since moving to Rome, I met and married my wife Kristen (May of 2004).  And, in June of 2007, we were blessed with our first child, Sadie Katherine.

We feel very blessed to work and worship with such a great group of people. One thing that I have said over and over again since becoming a part of Oak Hill is that no matter who you are, you will be welcomed and loved by this good congregation. So, if you are in town for a visit, we hope that you will choose to worship with us.  Or, if you are looking for a church home, Oak Hill is the place for you! As our slogan says, Oak Hill is a place where you can CONNECT to God through worship, CONNECT to each other through relationships, and CONNECT to others through service.
