Communication Ministry

The Communications Ministry is dedicated to sharing the story of Jesus Christ and information about our family at Oak Hill using many different approaches.  It is sometimes overlooked but communication is vital to His church and to building strong, healthy relationships within the Oak Hill body and the community.

Technology is grand and is a great asset to effective, expedient communication and sharing the Good News. (Mark 16:15)  At Oak Hill we enjoy worship services on power point, we stream our services  live on the web, and we have an audio/visual staff recording our services each Sunday. We have a website, we tweet on twitter, and we Facebook so we have boarded the technology train!  Technology is a good thing, if used appropriately, and there is no bad tool used to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

At Oak Hill we have bulletin handouts for the morning service and the bulletin is also posted on our website the Friday before each service.  Our elders send our quarterly reports to update the congregation on church news.  The elders' report is sent out via email for those who use this technology and quarterly reports are mailed to those who do not.

We have a large LED electronic board as part of our church sign on the main road with updated messages about church activities. We have a call out system to reach members with church information by telephone, use power point to display announcements before worship services,  and we make public announcements on both Sunday and Wednesday.  Our Life Groups and  Care Groups also assists in communicating information to members.  Oak Hill uses bulletin boards inside the building for church news, for cards, for Bible class schedules, mission efforts, student highlights, and much, much more.  We publish announcements is various newspapers and online postings, if needed. The church office is ready to take your call if you need assistance in any way.

The communication ministry exists to tell the story of Jesus and to share what God is doing in and through His church.
